Not everything in life has to be a challenge, sometimes people would just like to enjoy themselves. There is a time for everything. If you're such a genius, what is this song about then, huh? The song holds great meaning and emotional value to Gotye, who I consider to be an intelligent man (he wrote Somebody That I Used to Know which is an incredibly deep song, heard his smart interview replies) so therefore the song isn't simplistic.
