  • This is NOT Northern Soul. This is 50s/early 60's Blues or Rhythm n Blues which along with Doo Wop and Jazz was her style then. This is what R&B sounded like pre-Soul which didnt drop until 63. Wish peeps would get their facts straight....specially with such a Blues legend as the dearly departed Etta.

  • @DJDJANGO1 .. its a TAG !! .. played in ' Northern Soul ' clubs .. dont take it to heart ..and yes Etta was a great singer RIP
