School Answering Machine

This is the message that the **Maroochydore High School, Queensland, Australia** , staff voted unanimously to record on their school telephone answering machine. This is the actual answering machine message for the school.

This came about because they implemented a policy requiring students and parents to be responsible for their children's absences and missing homework.

The school and teachers are being sued by parents who want their children's failing grades changed to passing grades - even though those children were absent 15-30 times during the semester and did not complete enough school work to pass their classes.

*****Spoof Alert**** After posting this, I found out it is not authentic; however, due to the fact that so many people love the idea behind it, I continue to keep it here on YT.

Yeah...I also found out that this was not genuine....however, I still keep it on YT because, IMHO, people appreciate the truth in this bit of humor as it tends to hit a "nerve" for anyone who has had kids in school. Besides....Also...IMHO. . .American 'culture' is one of make believe. No one seems to care( anymore if they ever did) if anything is true or not. . . All you've got to do is turn on the TV and watch....

What number do you push if you want your child to get a REAL education? What button to say that government education is designed to keep people stupid so they are good servants of society? Any buttons to say that most teachers give such a lackluster performance that they foster children's disinterest in learning anything at all? What button to say the whole system is broken and thanks, but i'll just teach my child myself...

@BNobez Public, Private, Charter schools, it don't matter. No one wants to make their kids take responsibilty for their action. Instead they'd rather bail them out of trouble, fuss if they are put off the bus, ask why a teacher raised his voice at the child or yelled at them, complain when they think the child should be passed with the rest of their class even if they are subpar (Seen it firsthand through family). This hits the nail on the head hoax or not. Don't get mad, ask What did you do?

Not everyone can succeed at the exact same level yet most people expect it to work like that. I say let those who have no drive and passion to succeed to stay in their rut of mediocrity, better odds for me. Sad really that ones failures at life make a successful person that much more valuable. But hey, SOMEONE has to flip my burgers!

So children cannot educate themselves? They are being taught through the frustration of incomprehension of their studies and teacher's reluctance to set them straight to not care about their education? The government backs this up by making the wealthy bad people and raising taxes on them so as to set a model of thought, "I won't have to pay as many taxes if I make less money?" Those who believe the above, what about those who actually learn in class, excel, and learn on their free time?

Yeah, we have staff meetings weekly on how to keep our children dumb so they can become good servants of society. Just because some teachers & schools are ineffective doesn't mean they all are. Not to mention we spend about 25% of our time and energy dealing with the BS listed in this hoax message and another 50% dealing with behavior. If other parents took more of an invested role in the education of their child we'd be free to spend our time educating yours properly. Go pick on them.
