BARC Westfield Racing at Castle Combe, 18th July 2009

Disaster at Castle Combe: The 7th round of the BARC Westfield Series 2009 and after a poor qualifying 1.5 seconds down on my fastest previous lap it got worse as the car jumped out of 1st gear into neutral on the start line. After making up some places I get tagged from behind and pushed straight on at the chicane only to lose the places again. With about three laps to go I go for an overtaking move at Quarry and the rear breaks lock up spinning me into the barrier at very high speed and I now have a very broken race car.

fantastic race... I used to race these in the 90s. Did the 1600 ford engine.. The Vauxhall 2 ltr. was the beast.. the cars were dogs though.. Thanks for that good mems..

braking too early into quarry has severe consequences. good race though....aggressive stuff.
