Slow sand filter problem in Samoa was solved by ecological point in 2010
Slow sand filter was blocked in rainy season by turbid water. However, they misunderstood the real system. We can solve the problem by the wise use of ecological purification system. Sedimentation and up-flow roughing filter are realy effective to make the acceptable turbidity level even the high turbid water in tropical country. We don't care the sand size and uniformity. We can use any local large size sand, stone and gravel. We need the ecological point of view. More detail by movie:
