@thegregjay1 Sorry to break your theory (Which isn't a theory, theories are tested), but there are cameras that can record things in such slow motion you can watch light travel.

@thegregjay1 there is no such physical thing as 'sight', sight is literally photons (basically the carriers of light) going into your eye and being interpreted by your brain as sight, there is no speed of 'sight' only the light is that is traveling to you. Basically light is sight.... sight does not physically exist...

Sight isnt even as fast as light, although neutrino's have been found and the calculations have been done over and over again because in some possible way they are faster than light. Andromeda is 2.5 million light years away we see it now as it looked like back then we are looking back into time. so your explanation of sight being faster is all well said and done it is not correct. You can see thing's instantly but it's still not as fast as light.

I truly admire science and the more I learn the less religious I become. And I feel more satisfied by knowing the meaning of life and why we exist. But in case a professor reads my comment, please tell me if you know the answer:

If we observe a star or a galaxy which is 13,7 billion lightyears away. Which is as old as our universe. Well how come the light is that old? That means that the universe was just as big then as now. Anyone who understand what I am saying?

@thegregjay1 The speed of light is faster than the reaction time in which we see things. We cant perceive our own reaction time, so therefore it just appears faster. Einstein's theory of relativity - nothing can exceed the speed of light.

this is wrong,its light didnt travel to us we traveled to it with our lenses so that is what andromeda loks like today.the power ot speed of sight is millions of time faster than the speed of light. can you imagine being able to go somewhere the instant you see it? if we could travel the speed of sight we could go anywhere immediately. I know this turns the world of physics on its head ! but it is my theory and one day will be proven
