Starting at 50 kph, my point is that there still should be a lapse in which the Atom run ahead, remember the 0-100 in both cars. No matter, it's only a tip.

The Porsche Carrera GT goes 0-60 in only 3.6 seconds.
The Atom does it in 2.9.
The driver of the Atom was either not pushing it or didn't know how to drive.

The average semi truck runs around 650whp and takes over 20 seconds to get to 60 miles an hour. The M1A2 Abrams MBT has about 1500hp and only goes 45 miles per hour.
It's not about power, you have to take several more things into account if you really want a fast car.

a more appropriate vid wud be the atom vs caparo t1. Both are light, skinny, very unaerodynamic and hardly look like cars at all.

"50-300km/h"? Atom 300 doesn't reach 300kph, not even 260, so what kind of "race" is this? By other way, Atom 0-100=2.7s , Carrera 0-100=4.0s... are you sure the Atom's driver was racing?
