I know it's not politically correct in birding circles to love gulls, but I do. Upon editing a photo shoot of gulls at the Brant Rock seawall in Marshfield, Massachusetts, I noticed that many of them had severely damaged legs. Some gulls had no legs, some had one. Others appear to have legs that are useless. Many authorities believe, the gulls are injured by simple things carelessly disposed by otherwise nice human beings. The next time you go to release a balloon or a kite with a string into the air: remember these gulls and STOP. Thank you
