Peppermint Shrimp vs. Aiptasia

An epic tale of a peppermint shrimp and an Aiptasia..... I have been doing research on coral bleaching that required the use of Aiptasia. After starving the peppermint shrimp for a few days I was able to get the shrimp to eat the anemone, as you can see here.

stupid Aiptasia!! Best way to take care of them by far.

I have found that they don't feel the need to go after the aiptasia until they see that they have some competition for the food source. Just my thoughts.

i got heaps of glass aiptasia in my tank i put in glass shrimps inthe tank thinknig they might eat then turns out they dont. they getting along real nice in my tank. I thought my hawk fish might eat then but he leaves then alone do you guys reckon a peppermint shrimp could live in my tank with a hawk fish

It usually takes at least 2 shrimp in the dish before they'll eat the anemone, but still only 1 actually does the chomping......no idea why.
