You see, people would much rather be comfortably wrong than uncomfortably right. So please open your eyes and stop making excuses for something that is entirely preventable. Dont you find it odd that most of the world is not fat? What makes you believe that its suddenly "complex" here in the USA? Bottom line, fat is as bad as smoking. Go google that, and skip past the bullshit fat acceptance sites, and go to medical journals and scholarly research...

Bluviolet, I dont want to make you think I am attacking you. But I have to further my comments by saying that you can scour the internet and find someone tell you the earth is flat. And you can find another person who has it on high authority that aliens are living in the White House. A lot of Americans are obese, and to many a savvy business person, or other agenda driven asshole, they are people to pull the wool over. Simply because they need to hear someone give them an excuse....

Before you make a comment that is absolutely oppsite to anyone who is in the know about obesity, I suggest that you develop a profound understanding of what you are saying--before you make absolutely assinine comments. Obesity does correlate with numerous diseases. Period. This is not even debatable; so please, stop falling for feel good bullshit lies that make fat people feel good about themselves, if for only an hour or so.

Excellent food for thought. Thank you.
My video was talking to "morbid" obesity.
Yes the definition is simple, but in order to explain it quickly and to reach the most audiences I try to advocate for exercise and dieting (simply)... the rest is not too important to my message, but I recommend you make a video. You seem to know a great deal and I'd love to listen/watch.
Be good friend.

Also: dieting -- that is, restriction of calories inducing hunger, is widely regarded by reputable medical sources as something that for most people does not work long-term, because for it to work long-term requires permanent deprivation which psychologically most people are not prepared to do. The more food is restricted, the more efficiently bodies tend to use it, so that one can end up eating very little and still be fat. (Clearly an evolutionary strategy.)
-
Also to consider: fat acts as a protective substance in some diseases and conditions; many people eat horribly and are sedentary yet do not gain weight -- which argues for a strong genetic basis to how the body responds to food; and when people eat nourishing foods and are moderately active, they do not necessarily lose weight, but they become healthier. (See the HAES movement, also Linda Bacon.)

The assumption that "overweight" is caused by excessive caloric intake and lack of activity is overly simplistic and a result of a culture-wide impulse to blame perceived unattractiveness and ill health on character flaws. Recent science shows that the issue is much more complex than that. It's known that statistically, "overweight" and "slight obesity" do not correlate with increased risk to health, but "morbid obesity" and "slightly underweight" do. (See "The Obesity Myth" for sources.)

A disease? Hardly, but it seems to have the effects the one. I agree with your sentiment about how teaching people to "accept" them is the wrong idea. Now, I'm not saying we should harm them or that making fun of them or bashing them is right, but PC is almost never the right way to solve something. I'm starting to exercise more, because I'm pretty out of shape, and the problem with me is consistency. That, I think, is a problem many people have.
hot pockets and american idol.... you really want to take those things away kalib????? :(
Well we already give welfare junkies free food, we may as well give them free healthcare... I mean shoot if they dont have to pay for anything it seems like the perfect black hole for money... encourage health problems and then proceed to pay for it... Your cat needs to quit interrupting videos or I am going to eat him... get in my belly....mmmmmm

The solution, eat raw food...wash off raw food with hydrogen peroxide and vinegar. Stop eating any grain product. Get 1/2 hour of sunlight each day. Eat each meal ending with a table spoon of apple vinegar, it makes your stomach contract, mixing the acid so the receptors know how much more acid to produce. You will lose 2 to 3 pounds a week. If you are hungry eat more raw fruit and vegetables. You have plenty of calories, you lack nutrition.

That sounds easy enough... LOL. I would think those who are having obesity issues may want to start simply. :)
