Obama Signals Readiness to Further Militarize Drug War with Potential Deployment of National Guard to Mexico Border

President Obama is considering deploying National Guard troops along the border with Mexico in response to the escalating drug war. More than 7,000 people have been killed in Mexico in drug-related violence in the last year. Much of the drug-related violence in Mexico has been fueled by the ability of drug cartels to purchase AK-47 assault rifles and other arms in the United States. i dont take drugs, and for the most part dont like people who do, but honestly the war on drugs needs to stop. its a needless waste of resources for something people are always going to be doing illegally, so why not just legalize it and sell it? it would help our economy, get rid of a massive problem, and it would get the hippies to shut up.

If the illegals get violent, then the governor (of whatever state) would be with in their rights to declare a state of war. Even those in the Federal gov't who apparently have never read it either, know that Article #1 Sect #10 is very clear on invasion & a state's power to declare war.

@TheTankinTortuga Liberals have nothing to do with the lack of military. Although Obama is sending troops there. An agreement was made during the BUSH administration with the Dept of Defense not to engage illegals. Now I dont know what will happen in this situation if the mexican cartel approch us in a military stance. Then we have a right I believe to retalitate in kind.

Obama is a piece of shit. Imagine hiring security guards to guard your house from robbers - but they can only take pictures of the robbers breaking in. They can't stop them! No, they have to call other security guards to come catch them while they rob, rape, and loot your home. The troops aren't allowed to detain or apprehend to turn over to border partrol. This is a joke!
