  • THANK YOU for this valuable information.I hope that it will help my daughter who is a veteran of the war in Iraq and is suffering very intensely from it now.

  • So. Wha is Neurofeedback? I know what it does now. But not how it does it and how it is working. Is there really a legit study around it?

  • lease watch my PTSD - The War Within : News Story

i am doing as much as i can, to get recognition for this illness and how it affects the soldiers!

  • It's not just from combat. Abuse of all types can cause PTSD and other disorders. Military training in and of itself is enough to cause severe emotional and psychological problems in many.

  • A recent scientific study showed that women are far more susceptible to PTSD than men. With the increase of exposure to wartime combat and growing domestic violence, the need for addressing the psychological and cognitive issues that result is greater than ever.

  • Although My traumas are as a civillian many of the symptoms and causes are similer to my traumas.

It's 49 years now sinse I had my first trauma. there have been many more. I was only diognosed 4 years ago. Health professionals refuse to let me talk about my past. They say it would be to traumatic for me. I am kind of permanently suicidal may be that's because no one will let me talk away the pain????. Just why do they let me live in isolation with such desperate thoughts. With care

  • I've throughly tried therapy, medications, even acupuncture, hypnosis as well as other things.

I'm thinking about trying this out but I'm kind of skeptical. I told my mom about it... and all she said was... I dont know what to say.

I don't have any support so it's made it increasingly difficult to solve my on going negative emotions.

sigh I dont know what to do anymore

  • Thanx .........

  • Medications help, I teake Trazodone at bedtime. It helps me get a deep sleep and keeps me anxiety free, Between good sleep and less anxiety I am able to function better. However, I have alot of therapy in my past. Was diagnosed in 1990

  • Anybody know a good support group for families of PTSD people?
