What's Going on?
• CALIFORNIA IS IN A BUDGET CRISIS: Governor Schwarzenegger is proposing a 10% budget cut across all public sectors in CA: Education (K-12, Higher Ed.), Mental/Health Services, Parks and Rec. (closing of 45 parks and beaches), Prisons, Transportation.
• The CSU will face a $312.9 million dollar budget cut on top of the $500 million cut from Education in 2002.
In order to make up for these lost funds to the CSU, our STUDENT FEES have, and will continue to increase each year, 94% since 2002, 114% by Fall 2008.
