This performance is pretty sloppy and the video so jittery it gives me a headache. But a stunning performance of this song can be seen in various recordings of the Jools Holland show here on YouTube This shows Tom Verlaine playing at the top of his game, a spectacular guitar solo included.

I believe this is from Gaston Hall, at Georgetown U in Washington DC, early 93. I was at the show. Furthermore, I bought a copy of this bootleg video, from the bootlegger, and spoke to him. He had tapes from a bunch of shows at Gaston Hall. he told me he would go up to the top of ther balcony level which was sparesely populated and film from there, but dip the camera down if he thought security was looking at him.

@hiddenfire65 That would be a hell of a dip from the balcony. Tied to a bungee rope maybe?
