Festival Of the Lion King NEW TIMON animatronics and Simba Hilights

Festival Of the Lion King at Disney's Animal Kingdom. There is a NEW TIMON costume with animatronics that looks leaps and bounds better over the original character design. The show is so much better now and really sells the experience and imersion. This is a series of clips including close ups of Timon and Simba taken with my Canon Powershoot G7 still camera inbetween still shots and while simultaniously recording with my vado HD in the other hand, that was a bit of a trick :) For the full show in HD see my vado streams on this channel of the show

@hermanandmaxwell When I was little, I thought Simba was a robot you could talk to, so at the end of the show, I always asked my parents to let me walk up to him.

What I can't figure out for the life of me is how they see. I can't figure how they do it

SImba is a large puppet, similar to Big Bird, in which the puppeteer is inside of the puppet, and raises his/her dominant hand and opperates the mouth and eyes, and just stands with his/her feet in simba's feet...it's pretty cool!

it's a really cool mechanism in which the performer moves his/her finger to opperate the head's mouth or eyes ... it actually has something to do with light...because of how fast it moves, it gets the signal from the fingers to the head faster

Timon looks like the Disneyland Paris one of "The Legend of the Lion King"? Haven't seen the show the past 2 years though.
