At Ekitiparapo Association of New York's General Council Meeting, Ekiti Commissioner for Education and the Chief of Staff for Ekiti State Governor speak on education reform, and progress in many areas in Ekiti State.
So I have no qualms or questions in regard to the Ekiti Delegation's visit to New York bringing good news and hopes of Ekiti. Contrarily to the unfavorable opinion posted by orobokibo76, the delegation brings to the diaspora the promise of the good work that they have in mind for Ekiti, the forward movement, the strength and a showing of resiliency that exist in Ekiti, Nigeria and Africa overall.
The delegates seem to be working to bring all of these reserves together, gently reminding Nigerians of their responsibilities to home while enticing outside interest as well. There seems nothing insidious or 'unnecessary' about that. No matter which diaspora the resources come from, whether European, Latin, Pacifica, Asian, it matters not.
There is a vast wealth of untouched and untapped resources in the African diaspora. That is what I believe the delegates realize and would like to harness. The delegates utilize that connection to spark a renewed interest back into Ekiti, the country as a whole, attracting technology, skills and interest from various other countries is sound and good.
While it does seem as though monies used by the Ekiti delegation might have been used in other ways for the bigger picture, it is also important to recognize the huge Nigerian/African population outside of the country and the interest that they could bring to Ekiti, Nigeria and Africa overall.
they are just using money they are suppose to do something visible traveling abroad. can these people mellow down so that we can hear what she is saying properly. stop being beggars we have all what it takes to develop our country mainly in the area of education but some greedy politicians wld rather spend the money on unnecessary thing eg owanbe
Typical African setting, people could not keep quiet so the interview could be of good quality. Orobokibo76 is right with ehr comment.
