I purchased my first Mountain Ocarina this past winter. It's small enough to carry with me, and most of the time I play it while driving. I know, probably not too safe, but oh well. I have been playing the saxophone for 15 years, and these ocarinas have VERY similar finger positions. I'm sure that lends to any inherent talent I began with. I highly recommend a Mountain Ocarina. For $20 you get a portable, high-quality pocket flute that is fun for anyone to play.
