  • Too much showboating here....the beauty of Carlton Barrett's playing is that he kept it simple, and when he DID do a fill, it meant something.....this guy is not understanding the spirit of the song at all.

  • Jamaican musician who knows it all? Give me a break. U sound like a hotel musician who don't care about feel.

  • @bamdrums let's not forget ... the guy's been captured for 30 seconds doing his thing ... it's not representative of him or his skill. I do however agree with your comments ... the feel is all wrong.

  • These guys are not drummers they all play the same way too much fills ..it's nor enough

To play the hihat snare and kick..most drummers have no idea what there job is..ur band is as good as ur drummer

  • why are so many reggae drums being so busy now. Listen to the original stuff. There was minimal fill and it was so precise. Thats what I love about it. Its hard to find a good reggae drummer on youtube. Anyone that has a video of what Im describing please help a brotha out!

  • Nothin special about this ...matter of fact hes sloppy

  • @bamdrums Bless up bredrin, Reggae drumming has changed over the years, the younger drummers with a lot more fills, licks, riffs and a lot more energy. It can be overbearing when overdone but I do think your're a bit harsh in your criticisms. I prefer drummers like Mikey Boo Richards, Lloyd Tin Leg Adams, Style Scott, Sly Dunbar, Housemouth Wallace. Carlton Barrett, Santa Davis etc but I do admire the younger ones coming thru.

  • Bredrin mi nah lie. You have a long way to go. First of all, have you ever listened to Bob Marley jammin? You're playing the wrong pattern and the fills are out of context. Hate to spoil ur fun but if ur gonna teach reggae drumming you must know it like that. So disappointed.

  • tighten it - alot

  • how do you get your snare to sound like that
