Arma 2 500+ AI Soldiers

i tested this scene with almost 600 Ai soldiers on Athlon x2 2300MHZ and it does about 5 fps average, then i used Phenom II x4 3GHZ and it does about 21-25 fps, change of graphics details had no effect on athlon x2, even on the lowest details there were the same fps (5fps)... This game supports quad core processors, Arma 2 consumed all four cores about 40-70% each. I dont understand how someone could had more than 1000+ AI, the game supports only 144 groups per one side. Btw: without 500 AI soldiers i get about 50-55 fps, after adding 100 AI, it dropped rapidly, but near 500 AI, there was only some minor difference in other adding more troops... Fraps didnt eat much in this case (about 2-3 fps, in other cases about 20-30 fps), probably there wasn´t anything more to eat anymore:)

@Schneids well, thats kinda how the whole 2003 invasion of iraq was for my battalion....

always in the middle of nowhere, in full combat gear, driving around shooting at sand and nonexistent Republican Guard formations, with the odd insurgent here and there...

so yeahh, pretty realistic. aha
