Launderettes are daily used by many people. However often people have to wait for a free laundry machine, as a result of a high occupancy rate. If at all possible, reserva-tion and monitoring capabilities are restricted available and no solution for all user needs reservation, credit management, monitoring and reminder - exists. In this paper, we present the laundry observer. It overcomes exist-ing reservation and monitoring restrictions by offering an integrated solution. The key chain form factor let you have the device every time everywhere handy. By having per-formed a user-centered design process, a device was engi-neered, which helps the user to plan and manage washing in launderettes.
