Semmarit was founded in 1989, when a group of male students from the University of Jyväskylä wanted to bring something new to the male choir scene. Since then Semmarit has become one of the most famous show groups in Finland. The live show of this a cappella group of 21 men is a mixture of music, humor, dance and drama. It´s not a band, it´s not a choir -- it´s a totally different experience! The group has made various tours abroad -- in Germany, U.S, Canada and China. Semmarit has also had its own TV shows and their albums have reached Number 1 in Finland twice.
