This is the oldest surviving Ashkanazi Synagogue in Europe. It was surrounded by bomb damage during WW11 but miraculously survived. The small jewish community in Plymouth have managed to upkeep this building for over 200 years. We were priveleged to be able to document the interior in 2008. Interviews with the Rabbi have been removed from this wersion for exhibition purposes.

  • @phiaisgr8 Thank you for your comment and subscription. There is a full documentary with the Rabbi but I need to edit it this summer.

Ottoman Jews! I hope you all would come back in our country to live in peace here again.... This is your country, too! Jews from Turkey, you are always welcome!
