Choices?! A Jonas Horror Story (Chapter 47)

Kevin's p.o.v

"It's pointless" nick sighed as we reached yet another crossroads of identical corridors in this maze of imprisonment
"We have no idea where the exit is and their bound to catch up with us soon I'll doubt Eric will stay down for long" nick spat frustrated
"Eric?" Chloe questioned timidly
"Mel felt more comfortable giving him a name" nick smirked sickly and I couldn't help but sigh as I shifted Joes weigh on my side
"Nick" I warned and this time it was him who let out a sigh
"I'm sorry I can't even begin to guess how crazy my blood sugar is right now" he admit almost ashamed that it was his weakness
"Hasn't he been letting you take the insulin?" Annie asked worried
"Yes...I just haven't had one today...with everything that's going on" he trailed of leading us down the left corridor
"Do you have one on you?" Chloe asked getting concerned
"Yes I carry these things in my pocket...of course I don't" nick snapped but Chloe hardly looked taken back well none of us did apart for Mel. But really we had all seem much worst then this including her only she couldn't remember
"Well then we should go get you some nick" Annie stated calmly
"No we need to get out of here that's what we need to do" nick stated his voice far from calm
"Even if we do get out of here nick he said we were in the middle of nowhere it would kill you" Chloe warned him as she place her hand gently on the back of his arm which he was quick to shrug off
"And you believe him?" nick questioned his eyebrows raised
"Ask Mel" Annie jumped in and at once Mels head snapped up and she looked over at her shoulder towards them
"Ask her if were in the middle of nowhere they trust her she might know" Annie continued and nick looked at her for a moment before turning to Mel
"Hey...Mel we dont want to hurt anybody ok we just want to know if this place is in the wilderness or is there lots of houses nearby buildings" Chloe asked after a moment of silence nick just continuing to stare at her. Slowly Mel started to shake her head from side to side
"Were in the middle of the wilderness" Annie asked quietly and Mel nodded
"Of course she going to say that Annie she wants us to stay she doesnt want us to escape she thinks she's one of them" nick argued and at once Annie was silent
"Nick does have a point" I noted and Chloe sighed
"but still nick you need that insulin" there was no buts to her voice this time and nick knew it as he stopped spinning on the spot turning to face her abruptly and both Annie and Chloe stumbled back slightly.
"if on the way to finding the room we find an escape first were taking it ok?" nick more of order then asked but still Chloe looked at him softly before finally coming to an decision and shook her head at him in agreement of his terms

Suddenly Joe shifted his weight on my side and I turned to face him with everyone else as he cleared his throat
"Are you ok is the pain getting too much?" Chloe asked frantic and Joe smiled at her slightly you would never have thought that in a million years I had just watched my brother bring this girl back from the edge of life just maybe an hour ago
"I'm fine chlo I'm ok" Joe lied and we all knew it but Chloe choose to play along and relaxed slightly but Joe himself was far from relaxed he was more serious then I had ever seen him
"If we find the exit and we escape were not sticking together do you hear that? if you get a chance to escape you take it you find help you don't stay back to help to wait for others" he instructed to everyone though his eyes never left Chloe's of course she would stay with him we all would even if he was slower than us
"No" everyone screamed at him excluding Mel who just looked pure confused yet strangely comfortable in nick's arms
"I'm not going to be the reason we get caught again or one of you get hurts I will not be the reason we don't escape" he stood strong and I knew we werent going to be able to change his mind. Chloe stood frozen as the rest of us nodded at him in agreement yet we all knew if the time came to it none of us would stick to that agreement
"Chloe please just promise youll do this for me" he pleaded with her and she looked at him for a moment before turning back around continuing to walk. Joe took this as an agreement but I knew it was far from it. We wouldn't leave anyone behind not if we had a choice.

An: sorry this one's a bit boring and you had to wait a while but the thing is I have like 10 day till I go on holiday for two weeks and I have to do tons of school work because I won't have time when I get back. In the two weeks I'm away I won't be able to post I'm sorry but before I leave I'm going to write you guys a marathon and try and bring this story to a season ending...sorry it's a bit sudden
