@omfg4000 I think cold war politics made both sides worse off. I think they would have had better cars and consumer goods, as well as more personal liberties, if it wasn't for the excessive military expansion eating up all the labor and resources. In fact, the same could be said about the West.

Today 50% in East berlin vote for the ex-communist party Die Linke. Like 25% for the socialdemocrats.

Its just propaganda. Propaganda is powerful. Im from Yugoslavia and I wish we could be communist again and so do my parents and my cousins parents etc.

why did so many german want to flee to the west? and not instead of the east? Have eastern communist ever created somthing good that we use today? Exmaple YouTube it's from the country you all call stupid imperial, which has one goal to control the world. im just lol on you guys.
