Less than two months ago It was filthy, full of straw hornets nests, dirt and dead spiders. Lots of scrubbing, de-greasing, 409-ing, Q-Tipping, powerwashing, wire-brushing, soaking, vacuuming and busted knuckles later She looks like this. I still have bulbs to replace (which will even out the red pillars), a color animation wheel for the top and a motor shaft repair to go and Shes 100%. She was named Liberty due to the handful of 1937-1944 silver Liberty Head dimes that were found jammed in the front panel. The record playing was one that was found locked up inside of the mechanism. I haven't created title strips for her yet because I am awaiting the arrival of a choice set of 20 vintage 78s to load up.

  • True...I repaired that later that evening. I replaved the leather cushions in the shaft assembly with leather and reassembled using rivets.

  • Looks like the flex coupling from the motor has a broken part - the propellor shaft seems to be vibrating far too much.
