Good point. After the 300, nobody else shot anything more than mid 220s, if that. Tim Albin was in the 160s; Hriscina in the 150s...
Also, Stus threw a reactive resin ball [purple Rhino Pro] so I would imagine that contributed to the big snap on ball 11.

I have watched this show a million times and still love it, i even went to cal bowl to play on these lanes in 98'. i'm a great fan of gene stus. THX for sharing.

If you recall in Gene's match against John Hriscina, the Franklin, PA resident pulled the ball inside on his spare attempt after tossing a channel ball in his first delivery. The ball ran past the headpin and Mr. H left a 1-3-6 combo

It looked like the 12th shot zipped down the lane with greater speed than some of the others Gene's thrown.
