Hey boys and ghouls, here is the special Halloween episode of Iwate Swan! All throughout the month of October I have been filming little bits for this episode, so it is full of some nice goodies!
-Witness the displays of Halloween items at various stores!
-Tremble at the forbidden taste of Halloween Pocky!
-Gasp with shock at the haunted arcade!
-Squrim in agony at Swan's halloween mask!
-Howl in excitement at all the goosebumps books that were sent to me!
- And finally, there are also some nice scenes where I show off my English language bulletin board in one of my japanese high schools. I have it decorated for Halloween!

Thanks again to everyone that has sent in the goosebumps books, and thanks for watching! Happy Halloween everyone!

Music in this episode:
Halloween Swan: Keterol

  • its nice to see u have kept ur enthusiasm about ur favorite holiday. Im always sad when halloween comes around but i can't go trick or treating anymore (too old and they dont celebrate it too much in france). Is there much trick or treating amongst the kids in japan?

  • there's actually no trick or treating in japan (at least as far as I know of). In fact, one of the japanese teachers here told me most kids don't really "learn" about halloween until the fifth grade....

  • hey Rodger - I have a question concerning how to pronounce the word katakana. A student of mine gave a speech on it today and he said it differently then I've heard it said before. He said he has Rosetta stone and they say it the way he says it, I was just wondering what the proper way to say it is. Thanks

  • japanese is phonetic so it should sound like how it is spelled. ka-ta-ka-na. wonder how the student said it? i've never used rosetta stone, so not sure how that goes about teaching things..

  • tHE MUSIC IN THE ARCADE SCENE IS THE SAME ASI IN SWAN'S JAPANESE HORROR REVIEWS, RIGHT?

  • yup.
