polymeter, unusual time signatures, 'jazz' chords IE Mb5#11 and do it via another genre. Don't quote me or anything, but I would say they have 'evolved' from Bach. Not necessarily better, but definitely evolved.
Overall, it's rather blatant to me that all those haters of modern music. Either don't understand it, haven't experienced it or are too arrogant to do so.

I'd say the opposite. Music has evolved on multiple levels, further than ever before. I would say we're at a cultural peak. Along one line music has become catchy and simple IE pop. Man too many people are under the misconception that music and culture is 'devolving'. I guess when you compare the intricacy of Bach to something like Katy Perry or what not then it's easy to come to that conclusion.Look at some of the famous composers of today, John Williams is pretty cool.
For sure, I'm no expert but I think that it's partly down to the relative obscurity of the more 'artful' music and the format. IE people that listen to this kind of music generally won't want to grace the

not many people listen to classical music. way too many people get caught up in todays music. in my opionion they need to listen to the classic stuff to really get where music has evolved. its so beautiful.
