http://www.dvestore.com/products/Sony-UWP%252dV6-Wireless.html The key to great audio is to get the mic closer to the subject. In this example we hear the Sony UWP-V1 wireless body pack and camera mountable receiver with the included lavalier microphone. The camera is an amazing 200 feet away and we're picking up crystal clear audio. In this example you're hearing, the audio peaks were later brought down in post production. No further EQ or modifications were performed.
The dog, "RockStar" is a three legged Jack Russell Terrier with an attitude, we love him :)
The Sony UWP system comes in 2 configurations:
UWP-V1 is bodypack transmitter and receiver
UWP-V6 is the bodypack transmitter and receiver plus a plug on transmitter as seen at http://www.dvcreators.net/the-sony-uwp-v6-wireless-system-with-lavalier-and-p...

  • I'm actually really glad the dog was barking, now I know how well it picks up background noise, perfect for pranks!

  • I just bought these and I think the LAV that comes with captures almost every sound in the room, even being a large commercial ACOUSTICALLY ideal Movie Theater. Hate to have to spend more money on a new LAV after spending $1500.00 on 2 systems.

  • Never work with kids or animals, they always steal the show.

  • I didn't even notice he was three legged. I just thought that when he was waiting for the stick to be thrown he was being ancy. As for the mic, that is scary awesome.

  • What do you suggest to record in stereo? I have the Sony HVR-Z7U and UWP-V6, but it seems I would need two units to record in stereo i.e. from a sound board. Is there one unit that can does this wireless?
