From the Jeff Todd Titon book - 'Old Time Kentucky Fiddle'.
Although I had already heard the recording that this transcription was taken from a couple of years before I started to learn it.

  • There's another cool piece in this tuning called 'say old man'. I think Eck Robertson recorded it first, but Brad Leftwich plays an awsome version too. Nice playing, by the way- the bowing's pretty tricky in this one.

  • Thanks Lostmychops!!

I'll have a crack at 'Say old man' can you play the fiddle. :)

I had some bowing lessons off Jock Tilsley who now plays with the New Rope String band and it improved a lot of my playing....

  • Please take some time out of your life to study old time music before you make daft comments like that - we are awaiting a posting of you playing the fiddle with keen interest. . . . . . .
