Toutes mes félicitations pour la beauté et l'élégance de votre interprétation. J'ai beaucoup entendu parler de vous par le biais de Céline Dulac. Bonnes fêtes. Cordialement.

Sounds nice color wise...But lacks clarity because of the distance for the microphone, and the harpsichord comes in well. So I just hear a beautiful flute timbre, but all the articulations are lost.
Don't make the mistake changing tempo all over the place in the slow movements of the Bach. It just makes it unrestful, not better.

It always makes me cringe when someone tries to offer "helpful" advice to a master musician. Philippe is one of the top baroque flautists around today - as evidenced by the high esteem in which he is held by players like Barthold Kuijken. If you want further proof of his mastery, check out his two CDs of Hotteterre and CDs of Richter or Campra. I thought the slow movement was perfect. Teleminsk, if you want to criticise first prove your authority by posting a clip of your own flute playing.

Wonderful! The slow movement is very touching, very galant... The articulation in the fast movement is perfect, clear, round and full. I've like your Hotteterre sonata cd's for years. Thank you.
