  • Hey Harry, yup the suspension needs tuning, but I wouldn't under estimate how much work goes into getting ANY car into 10's or 9's...

And I think 500bhp is a bit hopeful tbh.... I would have thought more like 300-350 in the state of tune its in seen here.

  • Ha ha, sorry about that... the bug ran 10's when it was in the states but has yhet to reach that potential here in the UK since its import.

And no - its VW flat four all the way!

  • what's in the Beetle for a motor?

  • @kaferboy

I was thinking this was a cover car I saw a couple yrs ago.

  • Very nice. Yes, I could definitely imagine that car would be quite a hand-full! Nice looking/performing bug for sure. I'll keep my eye out for more vids on it :)

  • And when i ran the 11.4,it was running with smaller heads,10psi boost and no NOS,if i had kept the car i would of progressed further with it,so good luck to paul who now owns the car;-)

  • Its was'nt the driver,i drove it as best as i could with it all over the track.

    Loved every second of it!

  • that car had 500hp, was street legal and could only run high 10's. That car needs suspension tuning.

  • It's a VW flat-4, and the Subaru flat-4 is very similar in basic layout. So yes it does sound pretty close to a Subaru in some ways. Some uneducated bitter idiot gave you a thumbs down on your comment, but I set that straight for you with a thumbs up! Good ear. P.S. I love the sound of a mean loud as hell WRX :) ON a side note, how the heck did this car lose over 1/2 second in quarter when imported? Elevation? Fuel? Tires? Driving? Seems kind of weird...just curious.

  • looks like 11.42 @ 116.36, if you look close at the ending

  • Thats car is originally from Texas. I built that car and glad to see it still on the track!!! Man I miss that car.... Could anyone get me in contact with the owner?
