ok i plug in my thumb drive but my computer wont read it at all! and the light doesnt even turn on on my usb. and yes it works on other computers

I'm having the same problem. Basically, windows 7 64 bit sucks. You can disagree, but you'd be wrong. Give me XP back any day.

So.....two minutes to say "Don't forget to click on the 'Safely Remove Hardware' icon before unplugging USB devices" ??? How the microsoft is that a "fix for: Computer wont detect my USB thumb drive or flash drive cant connect to pc " ??

When I connect my phone to my computer with a usb, it will only recognize it 10% of the time. The other 90% it acts like i never plugged in my phone.

Not entirely true. There are two policies which govern Write Caching and Safe Removal of USB flash drives. Device Manager > Disk Drives > Your usb flash drive, right click > Properties and Policies tab.

ITS SAYS INSERT MEMORY CARD WTF?
when i inserted my pen drive to the pc, it cant be read but it cant detect that i plugged my usb, i cant even open my files, what happen? pls. help

@MegaKim111 Most likely your pen drive is dead you can try it on another computer to be sure. When removing your pen drive (especially after copying to the drive) you need to use the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in your task bar. failing to do this can destroy your pen drive
