Shoegalsho made a 2 part video concerning the truth about overweight people in relation to psychiatric medication. Here is my long overdue response to her.

  • Thank you for sharing your story! So thankful that the meds are helping with the mental health stuff. You are a beautiful person - just as you - hopefully the anorexia will subside and you can enjoy life as it is :)

  • Your comment is wise. I take all my meds and I am trying to realize I can overcome a distorted body image. Thanks for the encouragement.

  • Im on seroquel and mirtazapine, and ive never gained no weight!

  • That's so good to hear. You've help me see a bit of the silver lining I know is there.

  • Hi, saltyeggs71. Trying to catch up on vids tonight.

Weight gain from meds. I know all to well too.

One type of med, made me eat so much. Just like you mentioned about telling the brain it is hungry.

  • I am focusing on being healthy each day. Now that my mood is better, self care seems so much easier.

  • Hi thank you for your video. I'm currently on Mirtazapine (among other things) and have absolutely ballooned. It's so hard to stop eating all the time. I'm thinking of coming off it (with doctors help) just to lose some weight!! It's making me so depressed being this big!

  • Thanks so much for watching! Your kind words are very much appreciated. As a woman, I can be my own worst enemy. It helps to have you tell me what you think. I hope you are well.

  • con'td..so I am overweight but I have taken depakote in the past and it made me so lethargic I did gain weight. I didn't stay on it long enough to see if it would work. great vid Denise and from where I sit you have a nice figure. :)

  • Denise you have such a big heart..it really shines through in your vids. I can relate to what your saying in the sense that I had anxorexia too..I was 13/14 but like you I hated myself then at 98 lbs and now I'm considered obese and I like myself but I wouldn't go as far as to say I love myself. thats something I struggle with still but Im working on it. I agree with, you better to have peace of mind and a little excess weight. I take clonazepam without cravings but I have afood addiction..
