@mindlesseye revenge of the nerds perhaps?

This does not have a TR808 engine inside. You can hear the sounds from this machine are very different from the 808. Yes, analog style n all that but pretty much all drum machines had this type of sound back then.

I know of a song that uses the cr-5000. This song REENO "Mysterious Jazz"
-
@MrStereo Darwin Deez used this drum machine extensively.

the only song i found is Vangelis in Blade Runner (Taffy's Bar scene)
plus it's hard to identify the cr-8000 because it sound a little bit like the 808, minipops, boss dr-55...

what do these usually sell fpr ??

@miamiwax - around $300-$450 Australian (which is pretty close to the US dollar at the moment) depending on condition. You would probably get the most in Europe, analog drum machines seem to sell much better there...

@MrStereo - actually I've not heard a song where I've identified the CR-8000 or CR-5000, it seems quite a neglected machine.

Whaaa! Awesome! I just got one of these! Its being overhauled! Most of my buttons are dead! You do know this has the TR-808 engine in it right?!! :o

Yeah, the buttons are usually dead on these and they are sometimes impossible to fix. They wear out like remote buttons... some of the sounds are the same electronics as the TR-808 (toms etc) but some are quite different which means they can work well together...
