yeah, you can't quite get across the magnificence of the original versions without a full-on backup orchestra, and *good* backup singers :(

the band seems to be about playing around with the songs more, experimenting with different stuff, some of it i dont like, some of it i do, i bet they'd think the same if they were lookin back over it all, but with live shows its about wot feels right at the time i suppose, they arent cutting a record afterall.

you have no idea what you are talking about. Joanna worked with an orchestra in order to put together Ys. she is beyond bs'ing anything. She is creating music that breaks boundries of genre. please refrain from commenting.

hmmm...i haven't heard ys. but it seems she was told "this is what they do in indie, we should do it to" instead of considering the texture of instruments and really thinking about a part instead of bs'ing it
