epilogue part 5 of 6-

Within a few minutes anything that was Caitlyns for when she came was gone and I gave her a hug thanking her again and than it was time for Dave I apologized for the tenth time that night for running out the way I did

"Don't worry about it kiddo if anyone needs to apologize its me" he said giving me a big hug

"I'm always there for you" he said before they left.

The next thing I knew the place seemed even emptier than normal...I had an email from Alex saying that her and Nick were getting married in 3 months....everyone had some-one...and here I was alone...I couldn't believe how grown up Nick and Alex looked they were both at least 22 now.

I emailed her back immediatly and told her how happy I was for them and that I wouldn't miss it for the world.

It was a quarter after one and I stood upstairs turning off a light...I turned off the lamp and crawled into bed and after I couldn't fall asleep I quickly got on my computer looking at ticket prices which I gave up on stopping myself.

After two more weeks of a hectic life I was sitting in my office when I reliezed that this was wrong....all of this....this life here....it just wasn't....it just wasn't for me.... there was someone missing...Joe was missing and it didn't matter where I went or what I did because I needed him...and I needed him now...

I got up grabbing my stuff and hurried towards the front door

"Ms. Norcom where are you going?" asked the secretary as I carried the folders towards the front door

1:46 - 1:51

"Home...I'm going home something I should have done a long time ago" I said with a smile on my face as I headed out the door.

I ran home and threw some stuff in some bags and grabbed a taxi to the airport...

Getting a ticket such short notice was hard but I did it...I arrived in New Jersey that night and it around 9:00pm,

It took me a few hours to get to Jeremys house and the memorys flooded back into my I went to Jeremy's house viewing the town through the back of a taxi, nothing had changed...everything was the same

I made it to the apartment and Jeremy was shocked to see me

"KAy!" he yelled picking me up into a hug

"Can't breathe" I said as he sat me down

"are you okay? I mean your here!" he said as he took my bags and I smiled

"I hope you don't mind...I wanna come home Jer I wanna be home" I said and he pulled me into a hug and I fought back the tears...

I put my bags in my old room and it felt so good to be back after almost 6 years.

"You didn't move anything" I said glancing around and Jeremy sat on the bed next to me

"I knew you would come back whether it be sooner or later...just didn't quiet think 6 years" he said and I leaned my head on his shoulder

"I've gotta go find JOe" I said and Jeremy nodded and threw me the keys to his car

"Hurry up kiddo" he said and I smiled running out the door

I took Jeremy's car to Joes house and knocked on the door hoping I wouldn't wake anyone up.

Nick opened the door in his pajamas and his eyes grew huge as he smiled at me a little but a confused look was on his face

"Is Joe here?" I asked quickly and he rubbed the back of his neck

"No but your here" he said looking at me in shock I smiled at him

"yeah I know" I said looking at Nick he was taller and his voice was deeper and he was a man versus the 16 year old boy I knew...

" but he's ummm he's probably down at the coffee shop by the lake he spends a lot of time there" Nick said and I thanked him and made my way there...I knew the lake...it had never left my memory.

I ran into the small coffee shop which had never been here and walked up to the counter

"Umm sorry we just closed" the lady said as she wiped off the counter

2:01 - 2:51

"Was there someone here about 24 25 about 5'6 dark brown hair and eyes and this smile....this smile that tells you everythings going to be okay and these eyes that....that just...you can't help but smile when you look into them and I really really need to find him" I said and she looked at me like I was crazy

"no...but a young man just left might be who your looking for" she said and I smiled at her and glanced towards the door and back at her

"Thank you" I said quickly turning and hurrying towards the door...I practically ran out the door and glanced up the road left and than right and stopped in my tracks as I saw him...he threw away a cup in the trash and walked down the road....

I stood there un-able to breathe as I watched him walking down the road....there he was....alone....as he walked down the road I just stood there watching him
