Lester B. Pearson United World College of the Pacific is a unique two year pre-university school for two hundred students selected from around the world based solely on their personal merit, potential and demonstrated commitment to engage actively in creating a better world. All students attend on a full scholarship and live together while studying the International Baccalaureate program and pursuing explicitly the mission of the United World Colleges to make education a "force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future".We're doing what we can on campus and our always looking for new initiatives, but now we need the reinforcement of the government making changes for our actions to have any significant impact now. At Copenhagen, we look to our leaders to act responsibly and swiftly. We want change. We want to survive.

In the nonprofits category, what a joke. Yes we all need to take better care of the environment, but if you follow the money to who is behind all this, you will find this is all just a political stunt pulled by a bunch of bankers who want to control the world, the end goal has nothing to do with the environment. No dounb many will disagree and spit the dummy at that statement but if you research it far enough, it's the absolute truth. It's the bankers trying once again to take control. Wake up.

Pearson College definitely does not speak from higher ground.
This "call to action" would be great, had Pearson College first years not burnt an entire field of weeds only last week during a forest clean-up day.
Certainly, burning is the conventional method of disposing of weeds, but it is unsustainable. Had PC set an example by, say composting (which would have taken more time but would have been far more sustainable), then this "call to action" would have had more bearing.
How unfortunate.
