@pd177 Proving that it occurs for other planets as well doesn't debunk the debunking, it only reinforces it; if you understood WHY this artifact occurs, then you'd understand that you should naturally expect it to occur for other planets as well.

The debunk argument has been debunked - I have the proof.

Charged particles when the sun's energy hits the ourtermost and strongest area of Mercury's magnetic field around the planet's heavy metal core, like the earth's coronal effect, photons are excited causing light to form around the outer most magnetic field. We can actually take measurements to understand more about mass and matter with these type of events captured on video. Considering man still doesn't understand dark matter, gravity, even what mass really is. I love atronomy and physics. : )
The 'artefact' is appearing to the left of Mars - in the direction in which Mars is travelling (Mars is moving prograde - West to East - at the moment) - and so CANNOT: by any stretch of the imagination, be the result of using footage from the previous day in the imaging process.
Please try to make sense my dear boy.

@pd177 Are you talking about Mars right now as it appears in the images from STEREO B? You seem to be confused my dear boy. You are talking about its apparent motion from Earth now? Yes, it is moving eastward.
But you see, STEREO B is not located near Earth and the terms "east and west" don't have much to do with the images, at least from an Earthly point of view. From the point of view of the spacecraft, Mars is moving from left to right across the frame.

@opua97 Watch how Mars is moving against the background star field - it's moving in the same direction as Mercury: from right to left, only a lot slower. Mars will not be moving retrograde, which happens once in every two years - from our viewpoint - until late January. From SECCHI B's viewpoint it will, of course, begin movining East to West some considerable time thereafter. So go have another look at that vid again - and then apologise to people for attempting to mislead them.

@pd177 The motion of the planet across the star field is irrelevant. Mars is moving from left to right in the frame. Hold your cursor on it and you will see that is the case.
