Love Your Mother

The teachings of the Holy Qur'an for the Child to follow during his life is: "Your Lord (Allah) has ordained that you should worship none except Him and show kindness to parents. If one of them or both of them attain to old age with you, say not 'Fie' unto them nor reproach them but speak to them a gracious word. And lower unto them the wing of submission through mercy (defer humbly to them out of tenderness) and pray: My Lord, have mercy on them both as they nurtured me when I was little." (Qur'an 17:23-24)

"And we (Allah) have enjoined upon man (to be good) to his parents: His mother bears him in weakness upon weakness.." Qur'an 31:14)

"We have enjoined on man kindness to his parents: In pain did his mother bear him, and in pain did she give him birth.." (Qur'an 46:59)

I love my mother sooooooo much, she does so much for me! I should do more for her, since she has done so much for me. I should help her more, she shouldn't have to do anything, for it should be me doing these things. I want to repay my mother for so much she has done for me, but how could I? Subhanallah this is very beautiful, I couldn't stop crying, reminding me of my mother, and how I feel like I dnt appreciate her enough. But i should tell her i appreciate her before its to late.

Really got me thinking of how I should treat my mother, watching this made me cry and realise how much my mother means to me, Inshallah I will become a better person to my mother and take care of her before its too late

@Fatimahamira I am a born again Christian. I feel the same way about my mother. She is getting quite old and I don't want to be without her. The only hope I have that comforts me is that she too believes in Jesus Christ and I will be with her in heaven. (And my dear father.)
