Attended a 4 days training course between 4th to 8th October, 2010 in setting up an Aquaponics system in Hilo Island, Hawaii. It is organic certified process and very low cost to set up, scalable and use less than 1% of water and 40% energy compare to traditional commercial farming. The course is run by Tim Mann and Susan Friend, Friendly Aquaponics. Inc,

  • @Kokadocadotcom " Even without knowing what's going on here, you can know what's going on." lol.

  • @peaceinstead if you need help or pointers please feel free to contact me at my personal email. nomadatlop@msn.com and i'll answer any questions that you may have.

  • @greenlearning these systems only cost $11 per linear foot for trough construction, and that's if you can't find a cheeper way... like let's say dig a trench instead of building them above ground. and no, the aeration for the troughs is at the same level as the aeration of the fish tanks, so you're wrong on both assumptions. stop trying to shell out your product by denouncing someone elses's

  • I have fed my family a great deal using aquaponics. I know these raft systems save a lot of labor and setup cost vs the standard setup, but it looks like to that more air is needed on those roots and the savings is eat up with operating cost. My systems (see my videos) produce fish and produce far cheaper per pound.

  • Awesome garden!! Those vegies look great. What is the best ph level for the fish? Im a pioneer with an open source sustainable community project called OneCommunityRanch (a .org) and we are getting ready to set up an organic farm using Aquaponics and are hoping to find some members educated in this system of growing. Thank You for the video!!

  • this is why susanne freaks out and starts running around... she knows the dangers of the snails and yet, incidents like these happened all of the time on their farm due to lack of proper care on their behalf. their entire system got blight because they ordered bad seed and ran experiments in the commercial systems... not a very smart move on their part.
