This is for the person with so much mouth about Fantasias Color Purple run, FYI the close will be closing due to Fantasia not being in the show....the show grossed more than 34 million$ when she performed in it, after her leaving poor sales....so I don't think no one is mad at her especially her producers and she got a cut from those sales as well...Go Tasia.

By the way I know Fantasia' people who attend Fantasia's church an she was never pregnant I know you all are really upset about that and if you can read get her book and you will see where she stated that she would never dishonor God herself or her family like that again that she would be married it she everhad another child and you don't know Pastor Addie Collins her grandmother or her mother abortions is not what they do!!!! get a life HATER!!!!!

1laren, you are right I don't know who this person is and I don't care I flew in for five performances from another state which I know you are aware and I never missed her and I was there for her final performance and i know it is ture that she only missed the performances they stated at the interview here and the strike does not go to her account and what and that is what they had understudys for......

Twenty-four absences in nine months is not inexcusable. She is human, humans get sick especially with a grueling schedule like she was doing. The producers obviously didn't have a problem with it if they extended her contract. When you go to a show for the star that is the chance you take, the star may not be there. However, the show still was. Oh well, 'tis life.

I don't read the Post. 50 was the number I heard and many of my friends separatley tried to see her, and each one saw the understudy. But, fine, we'll go by the number they report in the interview, 2 dozen. 24 absences in 9 months is inexcusable. If she knew she could not consistently make performances, and the producers knew that, they should have figured something out, so then all people would have to talk about was how amazing she was in the role

She said she didn't miss 50 performances that was shoddy reporting from a Broadway message board. How exactly do you know how many she missed, were you there with her? Or is NY Post your sole source?

Um actually, she's missed between 50- 60 performances, and not just "two dozen" I believed the pregnancy rumors, because then at least she would have had an excuse.

what the hell are you talking about, for your information the time she missed also included her vaction days and the only reason she finally spoke out is because of ignorant fools who did not know she had been ill and she also fulfilled other obligations and lies can neve hurt anyones career, she only spoke because of others ignorance and the haters would not stop withtheir lies.

i like the fact that she commented on the pregnacy rumors and why she missed so many days. it showed that she is mature and know when to comment on things that can hurt her carrer.
