  • The Dodgers thought they were going to run all over Munson in the 1978 Series because his shoulder was so badly hurt. Thurman threw out about 50% of the runners attempting to steal in that series. Great ball player.

  • Thurman Munson had the worst throwing motion ever for a catcher. Maybe he was compensating for an injury.
