Next to the national anthem and Hockey Night in Canada, is there a more recognized Canadian theme?
-
for me it was the 70's as a kid
it would be in the car after swim practice and listening to stories Barbara Frum as it happens as Dad drove me home.

It is so classical yet so peppy. This makes me want to jump, yet relax and get inquisitive about the material presented on AS IT HAPPENS.

Completely indelible.

I'd love to track down Moe Koffman Plays Bach. My parents bought it in the early 70's. There are some cool tracks on it.

This is from an album called Moe Koffman Plays Bach. I remember buying the album back in the early 70's and still have it, though I have no way of uploading it.
It was and still remains a great interruption of Bach's music.

This song makes As It Happens the show it is, awesome!

This is a very thinly veiled rewrite of Edwin Starr's "Twenty-Five Miles"

Used to listen to As it Happens on the local NPR affiliate in Seattle (8700 kilometers from Reading); it wasn't on until eleven or midnight, so I got in trouble with my parents a few times for staying up to listen to it.

This has always been my favorite radio theme

@StopDropAndROFL I know, eh? Jazz songs are so much harder to sequence break than platformers. I spent about two hours trying to jump around that last page of sheet music.
