Speed test between iPhone 3g os 4.1 vs 4.2 faster jailbroken

I did up graded my iPhone 3g yesterday from 4.1 to 4.2 which I hoped that would faster than 4.1. And, yes it is!!!! 4.2 is more faster than 4.1. I video comparison of 4.1 vs 4.2 on many different basic applications on iPhone such as camera, Youtube, safari, time, and so on. Let check it out if you are going to upgrade your os.

my iphone 3g 3.1.3 jailbroken is slower than 4.2.1? o.O why?

@9ReMiX6 I am not sure since i have never compare side by side between 4.2.1 and 3.1.3. My experience, i downgraded 4.2.1 to 3.1.3 once because lots of people said 3.1.3 was the best os for Iphone3G model. However, it seemed to me that the both speed 3.1.3 and 4.2.1 almost the same, but 3.1.3 os is not compatible with some applications.

OK just to clarify.. are we talking 3G or 3Gs? I currently have the 3G and all the new JB's mention 3GS but not 3G.. can anyone confirm if upgrading 3G from 4.1 to 4.2 actually increases performance... im completely over my 3G's shit performance but want to hold out till September for iPhone 5

@ameic Thank you for your question.. What you see on the video are 3G model both of them. I am so waiting for iPhone5. Even though 4.2 with JB increased my iphone speed compare with 4.1, so far i restored my iphone to 4.2 without JB since last two weeks. It seems faster than JB one, especially when i use the keyboard, it reacts to my fingers simultaneously. :)

@secondgeneralz Not exactly, after I took the video, i upgraded the 4.1 8gb to 4.2. It seems faster than my 16gb. Let's try!!! you will experience how fast it is.

hey i have also the iphone 3g but my iphone is really faster i downloaded and installed on cydia the iOverclock and activatet it over winterboard and SBsettings you will see this 2 things will it make faste ;D

Hello, what you see on the video are 3G model. You're not alone, I'm also waiting for the iPhone5 too. So far, I do restore my phone to 4.1 without JB. It performance seems faster especially when you use the keyboard. It reacts to your figures very fast than JB one. Hope this answers your question.
