Save the Biliary Atresia Baby - Jesus Raphael Catiis

Warm greetings! My name is Katherine Raiza Catiis, I have a son named Jesus Raphael Catiis and he is now 2 months old. We live in Lerma St. Gagalangin Tondo Manila. My son Raphael at his very young age was born with a life threatening disease called Biliary Atresia, a congenital disease characterize by the absence or closure of bile duct that drains bile from the liver. Biliary Atresia is a progressive inflammatory process that begins very soon. After birth, white blood cells invaded the duct, bile was trapped inside the liver and cause rapidly liver cirrhosis. In Raphaels case, he was diagnosed with BA when he was 1 month old; Dr. Delfin Cuajunco did an operation called Kasai Procedure at the National Children Hospital last February 09, 2010.

This procedure was not a cure but rather a temporary solution to be able to find necessary funding for his operation and the matching liver type. Unfortunately, although the operation was done, his liver continues to fail. Our doctors told us there was no other course but to have a Liver Transplant.

We earnestly need your prayer for baby Raphael as if he was saying, Help me to live and praying to God. Let your compassion come to me that I may live (Psalms 119-77), he wants to live to see. The earth is full of goodness of the Lord.

Liver Transplant costs P 4-8 Million and more for its post operation medical needs are enormous. Maintaining my sons health already caused a lot of financial stress to our family and friends, this is the reason why we are appealing for your charity and compassion, I know the Lord is Faithful to all the promises and loving towards all he has made.

If my son Raphael will not be able to have a liver transplant according to his doctors, soon he will die. So please we plead and count on you that you will include him in your daily prayers and devotions and share this in your home church.

Liver Transplant will be done in Taiwan by the time he reach on or before 1 year old and that is by December 2010 once we raised the amount needed for his operation.
