@littlenannybot figure of speech.

@MrPokefan2011 not all, many are also parallel universes.

Steam Punk time eras are generally post-apocalyptic, which means that they would have had to create their vehicles or whatever from broken machines like cars, and seeing as it's post-apocalyptic there wouldn't have been much electricity so they would need to run things on steam or otherwise, but things like radar could be still used... you know?

@littlenannybot it only werent possible if u just reffer to the 19th centuary but much steampunk scenarios are based on post apocliptic timelines

am I the only one confused about how they can be "under the radar"? the radar wasn't evented until the 1920s..unless in this alternate universe it was invented earlier? O. o

I anyone here interested in constructing an actual airship and then joining the crew?

@Haikulapsi I think these are the pirates that took down the skyship in The Cog is Dead's "A letter to Michelle"...

The lyrics in this song are so powerfull, full of emanation and energy. Perfect. <3 I have never particularly loved steampunk, but I like some elements in it. And if those elements can be fused into this kind of music, I might as well start to learn more about steampunk in general.
Steampunk is absoloutely about teaching oneself to tinker, taking technology back - "punking" it - from the cybernetic companies and so on. Modern man is disconnected and afraid of his machines, steampunk recalls when every inventor for themselves opened endless possibilities and even the practical could be a work of craft.
Keep the colonial aesthetics, I'm turning dead gadgets and toasters into clockwork birds.
