8mins footage from my walk through the Sistine Chapel and Raphael's Rooms [also some other rooms eg. the Map room at 7:05]. At The Vatican, Rome, 2009. The vid starts with 'The Last Judgement' on the altar wall of the Sistine Chapel. It's very dark 'cos of the minimal artificial light and the paintings are high up. Was also a dark rainy day outside. No video photography is allowed inside the sistine chapel *wags finger*, however the queue to get in the museum was 45mins, and completely outside in the rain, so i thought well stuff that.. Photography is allowed in Raphael's rooms [no flash obviously], and it is equally spectacular. At 3:45 is Raphael's School of Athens showing Plato & Aristotle [4:05]. The music is Bibo No Aozora [Babel] by Ryuichi Sakamoto.
Below is a video of HD zoomed footage which shows much more close-up detail of the Sistine chapel, in fact more detail than you can see with the naked eye.
