Waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much gain and delay, the tone is so overprocessed it sounds very muddy. I kinda miss his Ibanez days, he had a much crisper, dynamic tone and there was much more fusiony phrasing in his playing.

the tuner there is like "WTF! slow down petrucci!"

Does anyone know what kind of tuner is on his rig?
-
He sure knows his scales lol!!!

he's talented, he doesn't need the bridge of the god dam starship enterprise behind him. TOO MANY EFFECTS.

sorry larry , i have another question , im searching a middle pickup for a clean sound similar to the petruccis sound ... can you recomend me a single coil pickup(middle) for that kind of sound by it self or convining it with the air norton s or a crunch lab please??

@osmar3823
John's clean sound is based on the combination of 2 humbuckers in split mode. A single-coil by itself will not produce the same sound. You could try a True Velvet middle pickup (DP175S) in the middle, which should combine with both the neck and bridge pickups.

The Air Norton S is the most similar model.
