this is an awesome howto on dis-assembly of this 5yr old laptop. my daughter dropped hers a few times and the hinges finally gave.

@Mr2010gartman the copper wire he is using is a special solder sucking type wire that pulls the old solder off the board and the holes to allow a new part to go into the holes and be re-soldered.

It sucks, my battery won't hold a charge and the power jack is almost breaking on me.

what if the power dc jack works and battery light is always charging on that unit
but you need to press the power button 10 times ONLY WHEN UNIT IS COLD
could this be a possible bad power button , but why would it turn on and off when unit is warmed up, possible component on the motherboard?

I have the same laptop and I dropped it, and it no longer charges. I have opened it and checked the DC jack and the motherboard, but don't really know what's wrong. Is this the right video to watch?
